Service Description

By the end of this course, students will be able to: 1. Identify major coffee-growing regions and describe the environmental factors (altitude, climate, soil) that influence coffee cultivation. 2. Differentiate between key coffee species and varietals, explaining their historical development and geographic distribution. 3. Explain the historical trajectory of coffee, including its early origins, global dissemination, and the cultural forces that shaped its movement across continents. 4. Analyze how terroir affects cup profiles, connecting specific regional characteristics to expected flavor notes and sensory experiences. 5. Compare and contrast regional processing methods (washed, natural, honey, etc.) and assess how they impact flavor and quality. 6. Evaluate coffees from different origins through sensory analysis, using appropriate cupping vocabulary to articulate distinctions. 7. Discuss ethical and economic considerations in global coffee production, including sustainability, labor, and trade patterns. 8. Connect coffee varietals to their parent species and genetic lineages, demonstrating an understanding of why certain varietals thrive in certain regions.

This allows us to finalize necessary arrangements to ensure the quality of our courses. Rescheduling: We understand that unexpected commitments may emerge, requiring students to reschedule their course with us. While we do our best to accommodate all rescheduling requests, we ask that rescheduling requests are made at least 3 business days in advance to ensure proper accommodation based on current availability. Cancellations: We understand that course cancellations are sometimes a necessity for our students. We ask that cancellations be made at least 5 business days in advance in order to receive a full refund. Please be aware that cancellations after the deadline may not be eligible for refunding and/or rescheduling. No-show: Due to the extensive preparations we take to ensure course quality, no-shows are ineligible for refunding and/or rescheduling.
